Ayo Bajomo

Mr. Ayo Bajomo is an accomplished professional with over 30 years' experience in finance, banking, consulting, and development. As General Manager and Divisional Head of Corporate Finance & Advisory Services at the Bank of Industry (BOI), he oversees debt and equity management, financial advisory, project finance, leading fund-raising and relationship management with international partners.
Biography
Previously, Mr. Bajomo served as Treasurer at BOI, managed SME operations across entire 17 states in the South of Nigeria, and provided strategic support to senior leadership. His banking career includes senior roles at UBA/Standard Trust Bank, First City Monument Bank, and FSB International Bank, where he led teams and specialized units in lending, risk management, and corporate planning.
His non-banking experience covers leadership at a finance house and consultancy at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), focusing on strategy and change management.
Mr. Bajomo is a fellow or member of several prestigious professional bodies such as Institute of Directors (IOD), Chartered Institute of Bankers (HCIB), Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (MCSI) UK, Member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers (ACS), Chartered Member Institute of Management (MNIM), a Certified Microfinance Banker (MCIB). Fellow of the National Institute of Credit Administration (FICA), Portfolio Management Institute of Nigeria (FPMIN), Fellow Pension Institute of Nigeria.
He holds a Masters degree from the University of Lagos and a Bachelor’s from the Lagos State University where he graduated as the best student in his Faculty. He has completed executive programs at Harvard, University of Florida, Lagos Business School and Galilee Institute, and regularly attends international conferences.
